ADS exists to prevent and reduce the harm caused by alcohol and drugs to individuals, their families and the community.
- Providing services to help clients based on their individual needs wherever possible;
- Increasing choice of support and treatment and providing the right links to other sources of help;
- Encouraging changes in attitudes and behaviour to the misuse of alcohol and drugs.

The Willow Project
The Willow Project is a voluntary organisation run by Women for Women offering a free and confidential service to Women in the Wigan Borough.
Supporting women who:
- would like to reduce or be in control of their drinking
- wish to or need to abstain from drinking
- are waiting for detox
- have been discharged from detox
- are concerned about someone else's drinking
Willow aims to:
- offer a friendly and welcoming environment
- be flexible and responsive to women's needs
- offer a choice of alternative therapies
- introduce alternative lifestyles
- support access to new opportunities
- improve quality of life
- build self esteem and self confidence
- Enhance coping skills
- to reduce isolation and enable women who use our services
- to feel part of the community

L.O.C.A.L offers a warm friendly atmosphere to relax, have a brew and if you like talk freely and openly about your sobriety. We are a totally Abstinence based group, so nobody at our meeting will be drunk and everyone will have some sobriety under their belts even if it is only a few days.
We understand that recovering from alcohol misuse isn’t easy, but we are 100% proof that there is life without booze.

BRAG
BRAG is an alcohol support group based in Hindley near Wigan. They Offer a relaxing atmosphere where your issues around alcohol can be confidentially talked about. Support, information and guidance is available as well as a vast knowledge of local support networks.
Brag meets a few times a week in and around the Hindley area.

S.M.S
Substance Misuse Service is open to individuals over 18 who require medication to treat their alcohol problem.
Service Provision includes:
- Prescribed medication
- Harm Reduction
- Access to Rehab & Detoxification
- Counselling
- Aftercare
